Plainfield Library Nielsen Room

Nielsen Room


This room was named after Ross & Jeanne Smith Nielsen. This is a meeting room, equipped with kitchen facilities, tables, chairs and a pull down screen. Arrangements may be made in advance for the use of an easel, TV/VCR or overhead projector.

Anyone using the room for a profit type gathering (i.e. Tupperware, Mary Kay, etc.) must pay a $25.00 fee. Nonprofit organizations may leave a donation.

Advance reservations are required and may be made by calling the library or in person at the library during library hours.


Monthly meetings in the Nielsen Room:

• Library Board meet the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
• Story Hour for children ages 3-4,
Tuesdays, 10:00am-11:00am, Sept. - May
• Plainfield City Council
meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00.
• Plainfield Days Committee
meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
Quilting Group meet every Monday night from 6:00-9:00pm.
Girl Scouts meet the 1st Thursday of every month 3:30-5:00pm.
Cedar Chums 4-H Group meet the 1st Monday of every month at 7:00pm.
Horton-Plainfield Historical Club meet the 2nd Saturday of every month 1:30pm.
Bead Sewing group meet every Wednesday 1-4:00pm.
