Wild Geranium Wild Geranium      (Geranium maculatum)
At nearly the same time the mosquitos of another season hatch, the gently swaying wild geranium is in full bloom.  Woodland flowers are erupting all around . . . wild columbines, mayapples, and the violets.  If you listen closely, you can hear the romantic chirps and croaks of nearby frogs and toads.

Enjoy the wild geranium while you can; its blossoms won't last long!
