Shepherd's Purse

| Many wild plants that grow in "manicured" areas are
considered undesirable, almost weed like. Shepherd's purse might
fall into that category. I usually find this plant in disturbed areas.
Tell-tale clues to this plant are the triangular shaped seed pods and the leaves of the petals arranged as a cross. Northeast Iowa Timetable: mid - May |
