| Smaller pussytoes are a great flower to help kids
learn from. When I take young people on nature walks, I'll often
squeeze the blossoms on a pussytoes together. At first, most kids
don't recognize the plant as a resemblence to a cat's paw. However,
with a bit of explanation, the kids quickly learn the plant's name and
share their newly learned visual example with their families.
I have found many clusters of smaller pussytoes growing
in rural cemeteries.
