| I enjoy the challenge of photographing wildflowers.
However, few have tested me as often as the false rue anemone. Locating
them has not been a problem. No, the problem is finding a "near perfect"
flower in a good setting, with ideal lighting. The small blossoms
of the false rue anemone are easily overexposed against their often darker
background. And normally the blossoms don't last too long either.
Regardless of the trouble I have with making photographs
of them, the false rue anemone blooms at a time when most of the other
spring wildflowers are also blooming, making it part of a wildflower photographer's
bonanza!
