White Dogtooth Violet White Dogtooth Violet (Erythronium albidum)
Early spring wildflower walks are often blessed with an abundance of subtle colors.  Few spring plants blossom with brilliant blooms.  Instead, each flower seems to quietly, without much fanfare, rise to greet the ever-warming sun.  The white dogtooth violet certainly fits this description.  Its pastel petals and mottled leaves blend peacefully with it surroundings.
