Virginia Bluebells Virginia Bluebells
(Mertensia virginica)
Virginia bluebells seem to appear in more and more locations each year.  Unfortunately, many of the plants are showing in home flower gardens -- victims of transplants from "wild" areas.

Those plants found in timbered habitats appear to be thriving.  Large, colorful clusters of bluebells are common place in healthy wooded environments.
