Field Milkwort Field Milkwort
(Polygala sanguinea)
I found this field milkwort while tromping through a prairie with both dry areas and wet areas.  When I realized I had entered the wet area (my feet became damp), I looked down and noticed this delightful little plant.  If I hadn't looked past the tall prairie plants, I would not have been able to photograph this colorful little plant.
