Morel Mushroom Morel Mushroom
My wife and I were hiking the very steep hillsides of Brush Creek Canyon when I spotted this morel mushroom.  I wanted to photograph the fungus, not harvest it.  As we climbed to the mushroom, we startled a hen turkey off her nest of 13 eggs.  My wife nearly slid back down the hill from fear of the turkey flying away so fast, and the turkey . . . it may still be flying.  We felt terrible about scaring the turkey from her nest, but it was truely accidental.
